A dull or burning pain in the stomach is the most common symptom of peptic ulcers (stomach ulcers). Causes include long-term use of NSAIDs, an infection with H.pylori, or both. Rarely, tumors cause peptic ulcers.
Cirrhosis is a disease in which normal liver tissue is destroyed and replaced by nonfunctioning scar tissue. The damage cannot be reversed. As the disease progresses and more scar tissue forms, the liver’s ability to perform its major functions, such as aiding in the digestion of food and filtering wastes and toxins from the blood, decreases.
